Four decades of clinical excellence, a deep love for what she does, and a firm belief that every person is capable of more than anyone imagines.
Susan Shields, M.S., CCC/SLP has dedicated over four decades to the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders — working with children, students, and adults across private practice, university, and clinical settings in Texas and Florida.
She graduated with Honors from SUNY Plattsburgh with a B.S. in Speech and Hearing Science, then earned her Master's degree in Communication Disorders from Texas Christian University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Susan's approach is grounded in a simple but powerful belief: every individual possesses genuine strengths. Therapy at its best finds those strengths and builds from them.
Teamwork is not optional — it's essential. Parents, teachers, OTs, and caregivers all play a critical role. Susan works to align everyone around a single shared goal: your success.
Every approach is grounded in current research and clinical best practices. No guesswork — only what works.
Families, schools, and other specialists are partners. Progress happens fastest when everyone works from the same playbook.
Every plan is built on what a client does well. Strengths are the launching pad, not an afterthought.
